Dear Community,

This week we are pleased to focus on our sister organization, IAJF NY.

They are only twenty two years old, but their accomplishments are notable.

We have had a number of joint statements and speak as one voice on behalf of the Iranian Jews in North America.

If you are in NY during their gala on November 14th,  please  join them.

Be prepared to be inspired.

We have just learned that there is help on the way for a limited time to receive funds to pay for up to six months’ back rent if you qualify. The website is copied below. Please apply if you qualify.

We are so delighted to honor a very significant member of our community, Mrs. Manigeh Youabian on November 12th. She has touched every segment of our community through her generosity. Her commitment to our community is unparalleled.  Please save the date.

Gmar chatima Tova and Shabbat shalom.

M. Elie Alyeshmerni
President

On the last day of his life, Moses gathers the Israelites before they enter the Promised Land and famously sings to them. He projects that all we have achieved we have done so with Hashem beside us. It is vital that the Israelites remember that their hard work and devotion are the seeds to their prosperity, but Hashem’s word is like rain in a dry land. It makes life grow – it gives rise to different opportunities, fulfills differing needs, and speaks clearly to every being His rain falls upon. Judaism celebrates variety and individualism, and even in this song, Moses recognizes that each creature of the creation blossoms differently but just as beautifully as its neighbor. As long as we respect and hold Hashem’s word and light close, our efforts will always be guided in the right direction.
